Mirroris a collaboration between Janine Antoni and Paul Ramirez Jonas. In Mirror, a red curtain bisects a wooden staircase. The immense size of the curtain, which is twenty-five feet wide and seven feet tall, divides the gallery spatially and visually. The austere form of the rough wooden stairs contrasts with the theatrical opulence of the red curtain. The title becomes legible only when the viewer circumnavigates the curtain, or ascends the stair, and finds that the curtain is actually a mirror, bisecting and reflecting the stairs on the other side.
